How to use a Tongue Scraper
If you don't have chronic bad breath, you do not needa tongue scraper.
Mind you over half the population do suffer from chronic bad breath and the causes are varied, but the correct treatments are fairly straightfoward and really quite easy.
If you have lots of stuff stuck to your tongue, then a tongue scraper is advisable, but you have to use it the right way.
You do not need an expensive device, but you do need to use the thing on a regular basis and in the correct manner.
If you scrape the living daylights out of your tongue till it ulcerates or bleeds, you can guarantee you are being too rough.
You need to gently scrape the build up off your tongue each day.
Do not be tempted to scrub the poor thing to bits.
You then take a dob of good quality toothpaste and spread it thinly over your tongue and let it sit there for about a minute before gently rinsing it off.
That is it.
Use your tongue scraper in conjunction with a good quality toothpaste – many popular brands are full of soap which dries out your mouth, so stay away from them, because they will make your breath even more stinky than it is now.
As well as this if you use a mouthwash, avoid the popular full of alcohol versions that are going to get the bacteria in your mouth extremely overactive so they produce bucketloads of sulphur which absolutely stinks.
